NLPA Flag football league has put together a series of practice drills along with videos to assist our players in staying active. Each drill and video will focus on technique that all players should have to excel on the field and drills that will enforce each technique as well as teach players the fundamentals of the game.
The goal is to add something new each week to the resources page for our members. We realize that parents do not have access to cones and flag related equipment, we ask that you improvise in that situation that do call for equipment. Example cones = t shirt, or some soft object. Flags = instead of having a flag on each hip, emphasize the hips is the flag and tag the hip with two hands. If a drill calls for two or more people, great time for you and your child(s) to have some fun together. Some of our drills will ask for a number of players to be included in the drill, again you can improvise and just two or more people.
Each week will have a different emphasis on the Running Game, Passing Game, Defense and flag pulling. You will be able to find each week by clicking the picture bellow. Week #1 (April 6th) will begin with Running Game Skills. In the Players Resources tab above you will find additional drills for our members. We have also added USA Football/ PLAY60 Fundamental activities (pages 8-9 has live video on activities).
