Hello NLPA Family:
Based on the recent reports from Government officials, that they will revisit the probability of reopening the school systems toward the beginning of May. NLPA Flag will await these findings prior to announcing any further steps as it pertains to the resumption of play for the Spring 2020 season. Currently as it stands, by pushing back the start date this will not affect the end date as stated during the registration process. NPLA board members will be meeting to discuss adding a free local tournament in addition to the spring season.
NLPA flag understands how important this program is to its student-athletes and will do whatever possible to ensure the spring season is played to its completion, while remaining in compliance with state guidelines set forth by the Department of Health and maintaining the health and safety of our communities as our top priority
We are strongly encouraging everyone to adhere to the guidelines, especially those regarding social distancing. In the meantime, we will still move forward with drafting teams. Thank you greatly for your patience and understanding in these unusual times.
We will also begin our virtual learning next week on the following:
- Coaches manual/Code of Conduct
- Parent manual/Code of Conduct
- Rule Book and Video
- Flag football Exercises and Drills
- Flag football Plays
- Flag football educational videos
While student-athletes are getting settled into their new routines, the flag football virtual videos will also help in keeping them active and adding some change to their new routines.
Again, thank you for your continued patience during this time. Pleas continue to be safe and responsible. If you have any questions, please contact us.
